paycheck protection program
UPDATED FEBRUARY 10, 2021: The U.S. Small Business Administration is now accepting applications for another round of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).
At this time, businesses and non-profits can either make their first PPP application or apply for their PPP "second draw."
-
Deadline to apply for PPP Second Draw is March 31, 2021
-
Businesses must be able to show a 25% reduction in revenue when comparing a financial Quarter of 2019 and the same Quarter 2020.
The Paycheck Protection Program is a loan, but it is meant to be "forgiven" (meaning it does not need to be paid back) if the program guidelines are followed. At least 60% of the PPP amount must be used for payroll expenses. The PPP funding can be used over up to 24 weeks.
