Choose Clark County has been busy working with partners, local businesses, and community members to create more opportunities across the county. Here are some of the highlights we’re excited to share:

Supporting Local Businesses & Online Visibility

We’ve launched a Google and online visibility project. Business owners will soon start receiving emails or phone calls with updates from our initial online audits. These reviews show how a business appears online and provide next steps to either improve visibility on their own or receive help getting set up. After the first audit, we’ll also provide ideas and tools to continue growing their online presence.

In addition, we’ve created the Clark Community Business Network Facebook page—a space for local business owners to connect, share updates, promote one another, and take advantage of busy days they may not have been aware of before. Updates from the group will also be shared with the Clark Community Chamber to further expand opportunities within the community.

Financing Growth

We’re excited to announce that we recently provided another business loan within Clark County to help a local business expand its abilities. Currently, Choose Clark County has an additional $20,000 available in revolving loan funds. These funds are offered at a lower interest rate and can be used for gap financing, startup needs, or expansion opportunities. Our goal is to make financing more affordable and accessible for both small and larger-scale projects in the county.

Community Investment & Planning

This year we partnered with the Clark County Courier to help fund their new sign through a $500 cost-share grant—a visible update along the main road into town. We currently have one cost-share grant remaining for the 2025 fiscal year, and we’d love to see another project benefit from it.

We are also building a Community Planning Group in collaboration with SDSU and SDSU Extension. This group will work on community visioning and planning, helping us prepare shovel-ready projects for grants that support downtown revitalization, signage, beautification, and placemaking efforts. We want to ensure Clark makes a strong first impression—both for residents and visitors.

Expanding Events & Tourism

Our new Clark County Events page online continues to grow, listing church banquets, community gatherings, and other events. We encourage everyone to submit events so we can keep this as up-to-date and comprehensive as possible for residents and visitors alike.

Looking ahead, we’re exploring ways to expand tourism opportunities, particularly around hunting season. One idea currently in the works is hosting an Opening Day Breakfast to welcome hunters to our community and make Clark a destination they look forward to returning to year after year.

Partnerships & Representation

We are preparing to send a group to the NeighborWorks America National Convention in Minneapolis this fall. This will be an exciting opportunity to bring new ideas, connections, and resources back to Clark County, ensuring our community is represented on a national stage.

Join Us

Choose Clark County is currently seeking new board members. We’re especially looking for business owners and representatives from across the county who want to share ideas, connect their communities, and help guide the future of local economic development. If you’re interested, we’d love to visit with you about the opportunity.
