Choose Clark County has had a productive and energizing month as we prepare for the New Year. Our mission remains rooted in supporting local businesses, strengthening community connections, and improving quality of life for all who call Clark County home. Here are the latest updates.
Engaging With Local Councils
This month, we attended both the Clark Chamber of Commerce meeting and the Clark City Council meeting to share updates and gather feedback. In the next few weeks, we will also be visiting additional town and city councils across the county to align on New Year planning and discuss upcoming opportunities.
We’ve Moved!
We’re excited to share that Choose Clark County has officially moved into its new Main Street office at 211 North Commercial Street. We look forward to being more accessible and engaging with the public from our new location.
Please join us for an Open House during Christmas in Clark on Friday, December 6, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. We’ll have hot cocoa and conversation—and for fun, the building owners are allowing us to offer a look upstairs at their Airbnb, which is not rented that day. It’s simply a chance for the community to see the unique, historic space.
NeighborWorks Insights & Statewide Collaboration
Choose Clark County recently attended the NeighborWorks event, gathering new insight into community-building tools, grant opportunities, and strategies for long-term planning. These ideas will help guide our work across the county as we enter the new year.
Strategic Planning for 2025
We are actively shaping our strategic priorities for the coming year. Our focus areas include expanding business support, addressing housing and childcare needs, strengthening quality-of-life amenities, and continuing to make it easier for local businesses and organizations to access resources.

SDSU Partnership: Healthy Landscapes, Healthy Communities
We are excited to be working with SDSU through the Healthy Landscapes, Healthy Communities program. This partnership will help Clark develop clear concepts for:
Improving and updating the downtown streetscape
Exploring future infrastructure improvements
Supporting a stronger sense of place on Commercial Street
Attracting visitors, residents, and potential business investment
We are also working alongside First District to review planning and zoning needs and look at infill development options. In simple terms: we’re planning ahead to make sure Clark grows smartly—with room for new homes, businesses, community spaces, and opportunities that match the needs of our residents.
Board Updates
We are pleased to announce the 2025 officers for Choose Clark County:
President: Joslyn Reeves
Vice President: Haley Warren
Secretary/Treasurer: Brandon Herr
Executive Director Catie Noethlich will continue in her role as Choose Clark County enters its 6th year, having first launched in 2020.
We are also inviting new board members to join us—especially residents from Willow Lake, Carpenter, Vienna, Naples, Garden City, Bradley, and Crocker. Broader representation helps ensure that every part of Clark County has a voice in our work.
Ongoing Projects
Continued development of the countywide Welcome Packet program for new residents and new babies
Preparing for the January 1 launch of the Prairie Combine community app
Expanding access to business resources and support throughout the county
Advancing economic development and industrial expansion opportunities
Join the Conversation
We always welcome community members to share their ideas, priorities, and hopes for the future. The more we hear from residents across the county, the better we can support Clark County today—and plan for what comes next.
