Why We Added a Donation Option to Choose Clark County

As we head into a new year of projects, partnerships, and community-building, we’ve added a simple donation option to our website — both for one-time gifts and small monthly subscriptions. This isn’t a big push or a campaign. It’s more of a self-call to action for us as an organization: to continue growing, to stay transparent, and to give people a way to support the work if they feel called to.
Over the last two years, Choose Clark County has taken on big challenges and a lot of small-but-mighty improvements across our communities. Through every conversation, every council meeting, every business visit, and every project, we’ve heard one message over and over:
People want Clark County to keep moving forward.
And we do too.
Why we’re looking to the community for support
Choose Clark County is a 501(c)(3), which means every donation we receive goes directly back into the work happening here — housing development, childcare support, Main Street improvements, community events, business growth, youth activities, and the behind-the-scenes groundwork that makes all of those things possible.
We’re not looking for large donors (though we’re grateful for them!). What we’ve learned is that even small contributions — truly even $5 — help us keep momentum going. They give us flexibility. They help us say “yes” to opportunities quickly. And they remind us that this work is shared work, supported by the people who care about this place.

What community support could help us do in 2026
Your support helps us:
strengthen local businesses and expand economic development
continue our work in housing and childcare access
promote community pride through events and beautification
grow partnerships that bring new resources into the county
welcome new residents and support the families already here
respond to opportunities that pop up throughout the year
There’s a lot ahead, and we want to be ready.
A small beginning, a meaningful moment
Our very first donation—$15—came in this week. A simple little moment, but genuinely encouraging. It reminded us that people believe in this work, and that even modest contributions help move things forward.
If you ever feel called to support
You can make a one-time donation or set up a tiny monthly subscription on our website. It’s never expected, but always appreciated. And every dollar stays right here in Clark County.
We’re excited for what’s ahead — and grateful to walk into 2026 with a community that cares as deeply as we do.
